So, officially settled back in Calgary, finally… and lo and behold, J-monster and I get slammed with some horrid flu bug, which, I think, we caught from one of the cousins… Massively annoying… but, I can deal with that at least….
Call the insurance people to see about setting up insurance on the car the husband’s mom is giving us… and WHAM! We hit a brick wall… I have to have an Alberta license to get insured… for fucks sake… this was exactly WHY I didnt bring my car in the first place… So no wheels for us until J-monster and I get our year visas… which wont be til, fuck… Nov? Whenever I get the cheque from my cashed out college fund (hey, I’m not going to use it for education)… So yeah… I’m more than slightly annoyed on that note…
Plus I have to prove I have a clean driving record… isnt that what the damn insurance people are suppose to do themselves? Why the fuck am I the one doing all the goddamn legwork?!?!
If I’m going to pay someone 200 bucks a MONTH, so I can drive legally in fucking Canada, they can call the fucking DMV in Texas… Shit… I paid 60 a month back in Texas… this is fucking stupid.. just RAWR…
In non-ranty news… I have the next comic like.. 30% finished already… but I feel like poo… so I will probably just finish the panel I am working on now, and call it a night on that… Because… ugh… fevers suck…
In also good news… J-Monster and Jelly Bean are getting along nicely, they always have, but now he is daddy, instead of just the guy boffing his momma… I have some uber cute photos of Jelly Bean reading to J-Monster, which, the glares I got were well worth it.
