Why am I sorry?
Because you, poor reader, are now sucked into my little world. A world that contains video games, cooking, art, writing, mommyhood, marriage and random shit my cat does.

About Me
I was born (May 8,1986) and raised in Central Texas, mostly in the Brazos County area. I was fortunate enough to have adults in my life that allowed me pursue my weirdness and not try to bash my creativity.
I do have mental “disorders”, in the nice names of ADHD/AADD (Adult Attention Defict Disorder), Bi-polar, Anxiety, Aspergers, and a touch of Agoraphobia (Being in open places). I have an almost crippling social anxiety which has unfortunately left me with an inability to be around strangers, or to easily make friends in a face to face situation. That being said, I will talk on IM or in email for HOURS, its disgusting really.
I moved to Calgary in May 2008, and while the weather is different, I had never seen snow before. The people, culture and overal feel of Calgary compared to where I was living. Not that different. There are still cowboys wearing cowboy hats, and yes, they say howdy here too, just with a Canadian accent. I really do enjoy living in Calgary, and the kiddo loves the snow and making snowmen. And snowballs.
I have a rather strange family, I call it strange because its not the sort of family I would have imagined for myself really.
Parental Units:
- Mom – Pretty much a hippie, but with the brain of a mad sciencist
- My Father – I cant really put much here, since I dont have any real memory of him, he does try to talk to me some…
- Bennie – my Grandma, she taught me how to be a lady and that I didnt have to be meek and subserivant to a man.
- Pop – I have a lot of great memories just hanging out with him. He couldnt make his own food to save his life though
- D’Kay – My aunt, she’s the weird one in the family, and if you have heard stories of my mom, you’ll realize this is a big deal
Siblings:
- Bronwyn – my older sister, shes basically a genius, but has the common sense of a rock.
- Aimees – my younger half sister, shes like a kicked puppy sometimes. She just wants to be loved.
- Chrissy – my older half sister, the eldest. I dont know her as well as I would like. I am trying to work on that
- 3 other siblings – I barely know them, and while they are family, I wont be mentioning them a whole lot.
Friends as Siblings
- Dove – the first friend I made in college, she helps me write OHC. She can also kick my ass
- Michi-Chan – the first person to talk to me when I moved to Podunk City. I love her little boy, who IS my godson.
In-Laws
- Ayjah – the sis in law, breeder of soccer teams
- Deb – the mother in law, shes an amazing person. I still dont understand why she likes me so much.
- The Reinsch Family – theres like 40 of them, and they ALL like me… Its really scary.
About My Family
This is my son, AKA, The JMonster, who is currently 4. He loves ANYTHING Superhero, but perfers Marvel. Hes also smarter than most four years, as in, hes spelling and reading words that are bigger than “cat”. And he can count to over 100, and then down to 0, with very little help.
He was born with ventricular septal defect (VSD), which is a fancy term for a hole in his heart. He had open heart surgery at 3 months old, and has been given a clean bill of health so far. He does have yearly check ups with a cardiologist, and currently he has a touch of Aortic Stenosis, which is a slight thickening of the aortic valve. Its not life threatening, he does leads a normal life, but it does mean I have to watch for signs of it affecting him.
This is my husband, The Jelly Bean, and the cat, Magnus the Shithead. As of the writing of this About page, he and I have been married for a year and a half, and have been together a smidge over two years. He writes our kinda popular webcomic, Close to the Chest, along with allowing me to pursue my various other projects that my vastly ADHD brain decides to do.
