Kindergarten Halloween Party
I did the involved parent thing and attended the kiddo’s Halloween party today. Including bringing some snacks, in the form of popcorn.

Kindergarten- Week One
Okay, when in the blazing hell did my kid get old enough to attend school?!
The kiddo started this past Monday, and once the initial fear of the unknown past, he was good to go.
I wasnt quite so ready…
Sure hes only there until noon, but its really quiet in my house without the spaz-attack running free.
With the morning class comes a whole new thing for me.
Waking up at 7:30am…
And then making breakfast for the kid and helping him get ready for school.
I’m not a cheerful person early in the morning.
Aside from the adjusting to the new schedule, the kid also comes home with, wait for it…
Homework…
Yeah, in half-day kindergarten…
Sure its only a simple book to read, but really? Its kinda weird.
So he just finished his first week of school, and his highlights are:
- He has a girlfriend AND a boyfriend (I assume in the not romantic sense)
- He and the other boys ate bugs
- He named the class pumpkin, Pumpy
- He made a bat with his name written on the wings
My thoughts on his class are pretty simple, the career breeders with nannies weird me out, and there is one really bossy jerk of a kid who seems to hate everyone, and wants to be the alpha of the class. My kid is twice his size, and oozes charisma. Sure he oozes other things, but yeah…
The kid’s happy, I’m happy, if a bit tired.
